Supporting Indonesia's Sustainable Capital Market Roadmap

With technical assistance from ADB through ACGF and its partners, the Green Climate Fund and the United Kingdom's Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, Indonesia's Financial Services Authority launched the Indonesia Sustainable Capital Market Roadmap 2026-2030. The roadmap provided a framework to strengthen Indonesia's sustainable capital market ecosystem, align market practices with international standards, expand sustainable finance products including GSS+ bonds and sukuk, and mobilize capital for Indonesia's green transition and long-term climate goals.

Dry Bulk Cargo Ports: Managing Dust, Runoff, and Emissions

ACGF convened the sixth session of ADB's green and resilient ports webinar series on Dry Bulk Cargo Ports: Managing Dust, Runoff, and Emissions, hosted through ADB's Southeast Asia Development Solutions and Development Asia platforms. The session explored practical approaches and real-world insights to help ports handling dry bulk cargo manage dust, runoff, and emissions, particularly in Southeast Asia, where port operations are often located close to communities and environmentally sensitive areas.

Mobilizing Capital for Local Government Finance

ACGF launched the report, Mobilizing Capital for Local Government Finance in Asia and the Pacific Through Green, Social, and Sustainability Bond Markets, through an Indonesia Development Talks webinar. ADB's Indonesia Resident Mission hosted the event in partnership with Indonesia's Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs. Developed under the GSS+ Initiative, the report examined how GSS+ bonds, project preparation, and stronger pipelines could help local governments access long-term, cost-efficient financing. The report was supported by the PRC Poverty Reduction and Regional Cooperation Fund and ACGF, through contributions from the Green Climate Fund and the United Kingdom's Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.

Advancing Energy Connectivity Across Southeast Asia

AIF and ADB launched the Regional Connectivity Fund for Energy in Southeast Asia, a multi-partner trust fund designed to accelerate the ASEAN Power Grid. Developed as a key output of the AIF Action Plan 2025-2028, the fund secured initial funding of around $25 million from partners including Australia, Canada, the European Union, Germany, and the United Kingdom to support project preparation, technical studies, engineering design, financial structuring, and policy, regulatory, and capacity-building support for regional energy connectivity.

Reporting Progress on Regional Green Finance Partnerships

ACGF released its 2025 Annual Report, highlighting significant progress in supporting governments across Southeast Asia to prepare and finance green infrastructure. In 2025, ACGF and its partners delivered $937 million in ACGF-linked financing, mobilized $2.1 billion in project investment with $1.1 billion in expected private capital, supported four approved projects and 15 projects in origination or processing, advanced three GSS+ bond issuances, and delivered thought leadership through publications, trainings, and events.
