Southeast Asia’s Largest Regionally Owned Infrastructure Fund
Since 2012, AIF has mobilized over $9 billion to finance critical investments in transport, energy, agriculture, and water across the region. AIF mobilizes resources from ASEAN member states and ADB, giving the region its own homegrown vehicle to finance sustainable infrastructure at scale. In 2023, the AIF Board unanimously approved a strategic repositioning of AIF as a green fund.

AIF Action Plan 2025–2028
The Fund's new Action Plan sets out a strategic and actionable pathway to advance sustainable infrastructure projects in ASEAN member states. Endorsed at the 12th ASEAN Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting in 2025, it aims to scale up investments, enhance the Fund’s financial capacity, expand cofinancing partnerships, and launch new financing facilities tailored to ASEAN priorities.
ASEAN Catalytic Green Finance Facility
In 2019, the ASEAN Catalytic Green Finance Facility (ACGF) was launched as a special window under AIF—providing project preparation support, technical expertise, and catalytic capital to accelerate green infrastructure investments.

AIF Supports Agrifood Systems Transformation in Lao PDR
With cofinancing provided by AIF and the European Union, the ADB approved the $65.8 million Sustainable Agrifood Systems Project in Lao PDR on 3 July 2025. The AIF’s green finance window, ACGF, supported the project’s development from inception to approval.

Building Resilient Coastal Communities in Cambodia
Cofinanced by AIF, ADB, and the French Government, the Sustainable Coastal and Marine Fisheries Project is restoring ecosystems, boosting fisheries, and improving livelihoods in four coastal provinces of Cambodia. The project is reversing the sharp decline in fisheries, promoting sustainable marine aquaculture, and upgrading fish landing sites to improve seafood safety.
